Aloo Paneer sandwich is my all time
favourite dish. I remember how I use to run behind my mom to make Potato Cheese
sandwich for breakfast. It is very
yummy, nutritious and healthy snack that can be made in minutes.
Serves: 2
Cooking time: 25-30 minutes
Ingredients
- 6-8 bread slices (you can use brown bread)
- 100 gm grated paneer
- ½ kg potato (boiled and mashed)
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 1-2 green chilly (finely chopped)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp pepper powder (kali mirch)
- Coriander leaves (hara dhania - finely chopped)
- 1 lemon juice
Directions
- Boil, peel and mash the potatoes.
- Grate the paneer.
- Heat butter in a pan. As soon as butter melts, add finely chopped onion and green chillies and fry them for 1-2 mins.
- Add mashed potatoes and then all seasoning (salt, pepper powder, lemon juice) into it.
- Cook the mixture for 3-4 minutes and then remove it from flame and add coriander leaves in it (Note: adjust the masala according to your taste and mix it well).
- Take a slice of bread and apply butter on it.
- Apply the layer of aloo masala and then sprinkle grated paneer on it and cover with another slice of bread.
- Apply butter on top of the covered bread and toast it in sandwich maker (Note: make sure the sandwich maker should be hot enough before grilling the bread).
- Serve your sandwich with ketchup or green chutney.
